The Flutesonic Chamber Orchestra, winner of the national auditions Greystone Concert series presents their summer concert featuring David Shostac. We are a full range, beautiful and unique orchestra: Performing baroque concertos, modern, and romantic works with absolute precision and the joy of life and beauty that great music holds.
Feature Works: Vivaldi, Telemann, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky Korsakov, Joaquin Rodrigo and Benjamin Godard.
The Orchestra is mostly flutes of all sizes and ranges. I am the only regular member playing a string instrument! The bass section includes me on string bass with Nancy Newman on contrabass flute and Roger Greene on contrabass clarinet. Roger doubles on harpsichord. It’s the most unusual bass section I’ve ever been in.
Our group has won the 2015-2016 Greystone Concerts in the Mansions Series National Auditions. Stay tuned for more exciting events by this top notch group featuring soloist David Shostac conducted by Gordon Halligan.

Big thanks to Billy Paul, Anand Bennett, Paul Chevalier for bringing cheer, creative spirit and strong musicianship to the OK Corral, Ranch Cabin Records recording room, Silverlake CA. Together with me on upright bass we crafted another instrumental.

Fundraiser for the debut album
Marissa Gomez and the Ghosts of Echo Park have been developing material and an audience for sometime. It was fun to help them by filling in on the bass chair temporarily. The 1st recording of this band is coming out soon. I really like their sound. What a great night.
I like to think it’s important to keep learning new things. Working from the bottom up, lowest tones vibrating as composer Simon Garcia plays and conducts his modern compositions for bass ensembles from the bass .
This recording is something I produced at my own recording facility. Prominent bass part performed by me. Billy Paul is playing drums, CuiCui singing—-ev’rybody’s got the Fever!
