I like to think it’s important to keep learning new things. Working from the bottom up, lowest tones vibrating as composer Simon Garcia plays and conducts his modern compositions for bass ensembles from the bass .
This recording is something I produced at my own recording facility. Prominent bass part performed by me. Billy Paul is playing drums, CuiCui singing—-ev’rybody’s got the Fever!

It was a real pleasure to be on The Voice again backing last seasons winner Craig Wayne Boyd as part of the string section. We recorded and got to be on camera for the new original song he co-wrote with his manager, “I’m Still Here”.

Saturday, April 25 at 4:30 pm, my trio presented a 45 minute show at the Silverlake Branch Library, 2411 Glendale Blvd., L.A. 90039
The Silverlake Branch Library is built on the corner of Glendale Blvd. and Silverlake Blvd. It used to be a gas station where I got smog checked. Now a beautiful library has baby grand piano that has been donated. How inspiring for making music in my neighborhood. This will be a purely acoustic show and the start of something new.
Much thanks to Yumiko on piano and Tsugumi on drums who helped this happen in a wonderful way.

such a lovely place…..for acoustic piano bass duo. The extra fun was it was really busy night in a beautifully renovated room making music with pianist, vibraphonist Craig Fundyga on his birthday.
